Dear Heavenly Father,

Thank you for today.  Thank you for my life and my husband’s life.  I pray over our marriage right now and ask that you would protect us from the attacks of the enemy.  He has been trying to tear us down, distract us, frustrate us, and tempt us to sin against each other.  I pray that we would be able to resist the enemy and flee temptation with the strength that you give us.  May you empower us to overcome struggles, with the hope of better days.  I pray that we would never stop fleeing from temptation.  However in moments of weakness please help us to give each other forgiveness.  Help us to support one another and keep each other accountable on a daily basis.  I pray that  if there is any sin in me that you would make me aware so that I may repent and never turn back to it.  I also pray that if my husband has sin that he also would repent of it.  Transform our hearts and purify us O Lord!  We desire to have a holy marriage in Jesus name AMEN!

Dear Lord,

Please help me to support my husband.  Sometimes I am so consumed with my oen life, worries and frustrations that I neglect to encourage and affirm my husband.  I don’t want to continue being selfish.  I desire to be a wife who seeks to inspire and encourage her husband.  May you anoint my words so that they fall sweetly on my husband.  Fill me with wise words, beautiful words, and meaningful words.  I pray that I would have the courage to verbally affirm him no matter where we are or who is around.  I pray that I would be a wife who respects her husband through words of encouragement in Jesus name AMEN!

Dear Lord,

Thank you for my marriage.  Although there are times that my husband and I argue and disagree, there are other times that are so rewarding and fill us with joy that it seems ok to have hard days.  Thank you for allowing us to experience both extremes and no matter what guiding us through it.  I hope and pray that you would transform my husband and I from the inside out! I pray our character would reflect yours in every way.  I also give you permission to transform my marriage.  May we continue to grow and mature in the roles you have entrusted to us as husband and wife.  I love you Lord, and I desire to be the wife that you have called me to be.  I want to be noble, respectful, faithful, and joyful!  Thank you Lord for never giving up on us.  Transform us daily in Jesus name AMEN!

Dear Lord,

Thank you for today.  I lift up anyone who is sad, depressed, or brokenhearted.  These people are suffering silently beneath the weight of emotion and pain.  Please let your peace consume them.  Wrap your loving arms around them, comfort them, and heal them.  I pray that you would free them of the pain they feel.  Allow them to move forwards without being hindered.  I pray for wives who are suffering.  May you give them the strength to endure and conquer each and every day with joy in Jesus name AMEN!

Dear Lord,

I pray for wives today.  May you fill us with your strength as we endure today.  I pray for your peace to surround us.  May your will be done in us and through us as your Holy Spirit guides our paths.  I pray that we would not be so distracted with what we have to do that we neglect our husbands.  Please help us to serve them with all humility and selflessness.  Help us to fulfill what needs of theirs we can and to not withhold because of a fight or pride or anything else.  Please cover our marriages, protecting them from the attacks of the enemy.  We belong to in Jesus name AMEN!

Dear God,

I pray for wives all around the world.  I pray that as wives read this prayer they would be overwhelmed by your love!  I pray that wives would seek after daily.  May they be blessed in every way!  I pray for their relationships with their in-laws.  Some wives have great relationships with their in-laws and I pray that continues and gets better.  For others, they experience hardships, dysfunction, bitterness, and mistreatment.  I pray that you would repair these relationships and help both families to respect each other.  I pray that you show wives how to love their in-laws regardless of how they are treated by them.  I pray that both families understand their new roles and respect boundaries placed.  May you help them to be at peace in Jesus name AMEN!

Dear Lord,

Thank you for husbands and wives.  Thank you that we have the opportunity to love unconditionally.  I pray that husbands and wives have peace today no matter what the condition of their marriage is.  May you bring reconciliation to those that need it and may your power encourage us all!  I specifically pray for husbands and wives to serve you together in ministry.  Many already do, and for those couples I ask that you would honor them, affirm them, and strengthen them so that they may continue.  For those who do not serve together, or dont serve at all, I pray that you would stir in their hearts and show them how and why serving will bless their marriage.  I pray that you would humble us so that we may be more like Jesus, AMEN!
