Dear Lord,

Thank you so much for my marriage.  Thank you for my husband who I love and value. I lift up my marriage to you and I ask that you would refresh my relationship with my husband. I desire to experience awesome moments with my husband, treasures that will build a lifetime of joy together. I pray that we would refuse dull, ordinary, or apathy. I chose love. Holy Spirit please prompt my heart and my husband’s heart to pursue each other passionately everyday! Help us to strive to refresh our marriage in creative ways. I pray for other wives who have this same desire. May you refresh their marriages and may you bless them with incredible ways of experiencing adventures with their husbands. Please remove pride, selfishness and sin from our hearts, anything that would hinder our ability to serve and love in Jesus name AMEN!

Dear Eric,

We’ve been married for 1 year and 3 months. When I say it like that, it I realize it’s not long at all, and yet how much growth, refinement, pain, joy, beauty, adoration, love and grace have been filled into that time. I feel like we’ve experienced a lifetime, but by God’s grace we still have far to go together.

Your humbleness and generosity have not gone unseen. Daily you teach me more and more the gift of being selfless. Doing things for you and with you is my joy, I want to live a life as a woman who spills out her most precious and valuable gifts for those she loves, and you make that possible every day. Sadly, you often think of yourself as a burden to me, holding me back from my dreams, but I can tell you with absolute certainty… my dreams always had a void until I met you. Now that we have knit our lives together I know that God’s calling on my life will come to a beautiful fruition. Being with you was the first time in my life I knew without a doubt I was doing the Lord’s will and that I was on exactly the right path. I never felt that before, but I have felt it ever since!

Thank you for always supporting me and putting me first, for drying my tears, for putting up with my crazy personality and constant energy even when you’re exhausted. Thank you for going to work at a job that can often times be thankless and working 50 hours a week to make sure we make it through. Thank you for being the practical thinker and guardian. Thank you for all your patience and above all for your heart that has arms open for children and hands open for giving.

I look forward to every year, every day, and every minute of life here with you.

All my love,
Alexis

Letter To My Husband Day By Day letter to my husband Unveiled Wife

Dear God,

Thank you so much for your Holy Word. You have taught me so much about righteousness. I ask that your Holy Spirit transform my character so that I will be Holy like Jesus! I pray for time to devote to reading your Word daily, to meditate on it and to memorize it. I desire to seek after you Lord, that you would fill me with your peace and strength. I know I need to lean on you more. Help me! Help me to trust in you. I am confident that as I seek godliness I will become the wife you desire me to be. A good wife, an honorable wife, a Holy wife. I pray for my husband today. May you fill his heart with a desire to seek you as well. I pray that my husband would draw close to you and see that he needs you to lead our family. May you protect our marriage from evil forces and help us to grow together intimately in Jesus name AMEN!

Dear Lord,

Thank you so much for stepmoms. Thank you for their hearts and their willingness to embrace your children Lord. I pray a blessing on them today. May you fill them with peace and guide them through every season they face with their kids. I pray that their marriage would be enriched and that you would teach them how to operate within a blended family. May your joy consume them always and may you help carry their load. Help them not to be overwhelmed, but rather help them to trust in you in Jesus name AMEN!

Dear Steve,

Sometimes I just have to wonder about you… how is it that you are still here? Back in the beginning I carried in so much baggage, so many things I hadn’t dealt with – yet there you were listening, understanding, holding me & whispering everything would be alright as I was crumpled in a ball, yet again, sobbing about how I just couldn’t measure up… but you’ve never made me feel ‘less’ – only loved…

I prayed & prayed that God wouldn’t take you away from me. Amid all my new anxieties & fears… somehow I just ‘knew’ that if you walked out the door by yourself, you were going to get hurt or killed or kidnapped or SOMETHING terrible! I just couldn’t wrap my mind around how someone as broken and warped as me… someone that had messed up so many times… could end up with someone so gentle, so caring, so forgiving as you.

Then that night after our dinner out, you let it slip that there indeed was a ring already purchased… when I burst into tears I think you figured there was no use waiting and went to get it from its hiding place. All I could do was cry and stare at that ring on my hand and kiss you and in my mind just wonder ‘how is this actually happening to ME?!’

I always felt so unworthy of happiness. I’m so sorry for how my negativity has hurt you – I know you have always seen something in me that I just couldn’t see. As our relationship with God grew, you began to affirm HIS opinion of me as well and I just have to say, if it weren’t for your love & kindness in the middle of all my crazy… I wouldn’t have a clue how to receive God’s love for me. I still struggle with it. I pick at myself & wonder why I can’t have curves or something, but you always counter with ‘I love you just the way you are.’

Then, like yesterday, (almost 5 years of marriage & 1 miracle baby later) I’m crabby & snap ‘why are you staring at me!’ …and without missing a beat you just smile and say ‘because you’re beautiful’ …and I couldn’t hold back the laughter… thank u

Dear Dale,

This I write to you two days after we made our first offer on a house we were able to see as a ‘home’. My love, we may not be able to see what tomorrow holds or even if our vision may be a good idea but not a God idea, i know this journey will be amazing just as our first year of marriage has been. I couldn’t be happier because I know you know who I am, yet you still choose me. A man of integrity, truth, understanding and a blessing from God just for me.
May our home be forever filled with God’s Peace, with His love and happiness. I will always love you so that God may be glorified in and through our lives

Love always,
Tabitha

Letter To My Husband With A Grateful Heart letter to my husband Unveiled Wife

Dear Steven,

I have the best husband in the world. He respects me & takes really good care of me at all times. He always puts me first & after being married for almost a year & dated a year before we exchanged our vows, he still opens doors for me. He helps me with housework & keeps my vehicle washed often. He’s the best I’ve ever had. He loves me so much as I love him the same.
