Letter To My Husband-To-Be – From My Heart To Yours

Dear Chinyemba Kayombo Sovi,

My loving, kind, caring and every patient love.

People tell of how the first year of marriage is always the hardest. No one told me of how hard the year going into your marriage can be. The impatience, the frustrations, the misunderstandings and everything else.

I admit, I have felt like just throwing in the towel and going my way hoping for something better later on in life. So many times I have come close to compromising my love for you. But I am so thankful to God for every single time he has spoken to me about our relationship, especially through forums like this one. I love you, Chinyemba and I have never doubted this. I am strongly convinced that you are the one I will spend the rest of my life with and I know that God has great and amazing plans for us.I know that often times I do not look to God for guidance and I chose to do things my way. I turn from him and become irritable and angry with you and life in general. That is not how I want it to be for us.

I have decided that I will seek God’s face everyday concerning our relationship, that I will ask His opinion and not that of my family or friends, that I will ask him to change my heart, mind and speech towards you, that everyday He may show me a new way of loving you unconditionally.

Please hold my hand and take this walk with me and let us allow God to be God in our relationship, teaching us everyday of how we can love each other perfectly as only he can. And on that day, when I finally say my vows, I will mean every word and live every breathe thereafter fulfilling them.

Love Your Wife,

salt-and-pepper
