Guest contributor Jessica McLain from Proverbs Living is sharing on the next part of our What Is Love Marriage Series!

Love Always Trusts

Why is trust such an easy concept, but such a hard lesson to learn?

As I remember my past relationships, I always stuck my nose into information I didn’t really want to find out. The detective inside of me always felt as though there was some mystery to uncover. Another girl, another hobby, another lie, another secret…whatever the case, I needed to get to the bottom of it. Then, God sent me my husband.  As I learned more about him and we started a serious relationship, I didn’t have that longing to get the dirt on him. He proved to me time and time again that I didn’t need to have that unsettling feeling I had in many relationships before. He made my trust issues melt away with every day spent together. That’s when I learned that love is a two way street. True love means that I should never be put into a situation that makes me question my trust. Read Full Article

Love Does Not Dishonor

To dishonor someone means that you bring shame or disgrace to them.  Love does not dishonor because love is not humiliating, demeaning, or inappropriate.  Another version of scripture says that love does not act unbecomingly. If we claim to love our husbands our conduct should reflect so. Read Full Article

Honoring Your Husband Through Embracing Femininity encouragements for wives roomag roo mag honor femininity Unveiled Wife

Femininity is a gift God has designed women with that contrasts the design of men.  There are differences in gender that are very distinct and those differences play a role in marriage.

I grew up with a twin brother as well as a rough-edged family environment.  We played outside all of the time, we camped, fished, and enjoyed getting dirty.  I was a “Tom-Boy” – embracing a tough side that had nothing to do with make-up, accessories, or other girly things.

Now that I am a wife, I realize that my husband delights in my femininity.  When I take the time to present myself in a beautifully delicate way he feels honored to be my husband.  This does not mean that the days I neglect my appearance he loves me any less… rather my ability to embrace femininity shows him that I respect our differences as husband and wife, male and female.

I am learning that there are certain ways I can embrace my femininity, such as closing the bathroom door when I go to the bathroom, having self-control with my bodily functions, and try a little more with my physical appearance… even it I am just going to be hanging out with my husband!

What are some ways you will try to embrace your femininity this week?

Please join me over at Roo Mag today as I share how you can Honor Your Husband Through Embracing Femininity!

Happy International Women’s Day!

Dear Lord,

Thank you for giving us a unique day to honor women from all around the world.  As many women join in serious events, such as standing against sex trafficking or demanding equality in the workplace, many others are joining in festivities to celebrate changes that have already been made or accomplishments that have been reached.  No matter what is before us today, we pray for strength and courage.  May you inspire us to honor and empower women today.  Bless women Lord; reveal our value to us and to the world.  Use men to honor us, use men to support us, and encourage them to validate our worth.  May we celebrate our talent, treasures, and time, taking advantage of what we have been given to bless you and to bless others in Jesus name AMEN!
