Love Always Perseveres - 1 Corinthians 13:7

Perseverance is the ability to endure, to persist, to hang on and to carry on through many different types of circumstances. Perseverance is determination to work hard and to continue, even when life throws curve balls or adds pressures that cause tension and conflict. It is important to have perseverance in marriage, especially when a husband and wife have committed to each other “‘Til death do us part.”

Perseverance shouts through your actions, “I won’t give up!” Read Full Article

Love Always Trusts

Why is trust such an easy concept, but such a hard lesson to learn?

As I remember my past relationships, I always stuck my nose into information I didn’t really want to find out. The detective inside of me always felt as though there was some mystery to uncover. Another girl, another hobby, another lie, another secret…whatever the case, I needed to get to the bottom of it. Then, God sent me my husband.  As I learned more about him and we started a serious relationship, I didn’t have that longing to get the dirt on him. He proved to me time and time again that I didn’t need to have that unsettling feeling I had in many relationships before. He made my trust issues melt away with every day spent together. That’s when I learned that love is a two way street. True love means that I should never be put into a situation that makes me question my trust. Read Full Article

Love Always Protects

When my husband and I got engaged, I thought wow I can’t believe I’m marrying this invincible hunk. And I was right, he’s a hunk. However, I hadn’t clued in on a very important aspect of him quite yet.

I hadn’t clued in on the fact that he isn’t completely invincible. He is fragile, and he is breakable. And I, of all people, have the power to knock him down the fastest.

I remember a certain rainy day so clearly. We were standing Read Full Article

Love Does Not Dishonor

To dishonor someone means that you bring shame or disgrace to them.  Love does not dishonor because love is not humiliating, demeaning, or inappropriate.  Another version of scripture says that love does not act unbecomingly. If we claim to love our husbands our conduct should reflect so. Read Full Article
