To My Husband – You Have Taught Me Strength In The Face Of Adversity

Dearest Wes,

February 3, 2012 changed our lives forever. Not because you had a stroke that day, but because of the way your attitude and faith played an integural role in your recovery.

It was not five minutes after the emergency room doctors told us that you had suffered a minor stroke, that you took my hands and we bowed our heads in prayer thanking God that you had made it through and vowing to change your life.

Since then, you have only improved. Your mind is sharp and strong again, you have lost 35 pounds and your attitude is of thanksgiving and gratitude.

You are the love of my life and you inspire me to be a better person, wife and friend to you and others.
