25 Creative & Awesome Ideas To Celebrate My Husband’s Birthday

This week I am planning and preparing to celebrate my husband’s 32nd birthday. I thought it would be perfect timing to take advantage of one of our family’s bucket list items and go see the Tulip Fest here in Oregon. My kids and I went to the store to pick out all we would need for a picnic at the Tulip Farm, including some of my husband’s favorites like beef jerky and dates! We are getting up early in the morning to pack the car and then we are off on a wild, colorful adventure! I can’t wait to share it with you on our family Vlog on Youtube. I asked the wives in our community what other fun things they have done to celebrate their

Risen: Movie Review

The other day my husband mentioned a movie he wanted to see called Risen. I had not heard about it, so I did a quick search to watch the trailer. I share the trailer below for you to check out. After previewing the film, I knew I wanted to see it with my husband because I enjoy seeing faith-based films and anything related to Jesus up on the big screen. It inspires me to visually see what I know from the Bible and I think it is pretty neat that others get to have that kind of exposure to the Gospel. Something I have been wanting to share for a while pertaining to faith-based movies: I know some people like to argue whether a faith-based

3 Things I Am Doing For My Husband Leading Up To Valentine’s Day

The last few days my marriage has been on my mind. It could be that Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so everything and anything about love is bright and bold, in my sight, making me think. I have been considering the many ways my husband and I have grown up since we first got married. I love the progression of our journey and the maturity we have experienced. 52 Original Date Ideas

This is a special guest post by Darby Dugger. Darby is the founder of DarbyDugger.com and she is a dear friend of mine. I am excited to share her article with you today about beautiful date ideas! Darby writes: When my husband, Jason, and I first were married, I wanted to make dinner every night. I prided myself on being a great chef, but the problem was I only knew how to make one thing: pasta. Each night, I would open a box of pasta and pour the contents into boiling water. I assumed that different shaped pasta was a different meal. Monday we had Spaghetti, Tuesday we had ziti, Wednesday penne, Thursday ravioli, Friday rigatoni, Saturday fettuccini, and Sunday was for leftovers. A different meal

39 Rituals To Do With Your Family To Build Strong Love

Is today any different than yesterday? Yes, today is different and I want to celebrate! Today I woke up to a winter wonderland. The first snow of the season has made its debut and it is absolutely stunning. About a week ago my friends and I were in bible study discussing the importance of rituals – things we choose to do with our family that will make a positive impact on them. Ritual: always done in a particular situation and in the same way each time. My pastor’s wife challenged us to consider what kinds of rituals we already do or plan to do with our families to make our families closer and stronger. I had remembered back to my childhood, growing up in Southern California. Whenever

This Could Change Your Marriage: War Room Movie Review

War Room. You need to see this movie. This movie opens with a voice talking about the wars we face, while the visual being a husband and wife arguing. That opening scene ended with the words: Victories don’t come by accident.” That is when I pulled out my phone to take a few notes. I came to the movies for enjoyment, but I knew from that opening scene that it would be an impactful movie – one that I would need to share about. We all desire victories in life, especially in our marriage. However, are we willing to spend intentional time praying and trusting God for these victories? The plot follows the relationship between a husband and wife, along with their daughter, as well
