A Heart For Marriage – A 7 Day Study

Although I am already married and assume most of you are as well, I think that it is still extremely important to dive into what the Bible says about marriage. Just because you are married, doesn’t mean you should stop studying or learning about God’s design for marriage. Because of this, I have decided to give myself a “refresher” this week and invite you to join me in studying each day to learn God’s Heart For Marriage. Day 1: Genesis 2:5-25 What better way to start than at the beginning – the creation of man and woman. One of the things that always stuck out most to me was how God truly provided for Adam. He saw that man was not good alone, and created

Rebuilding A Dwindled Passion For My Husband

Ignite The Fire Of Your Marriage – Week 1 Passion…such a beautiful word. As a wife, one of my prayers is always to have more passion in my marriage. Why? I guess because I want my relationship with my husband to be mutually invigorating, full of love, a well-spring of intimacy, faithfulness, and security. I want my husband to be my everything and I desire to be my husband’s everything! My heart’s desire is that my husband and I continue to grow closer together, understand each other deeper, experience more intimacy more often, and love each other more extravagantly than any other couple has ever loved. Our marriage to this point in time has encountered moments such as these, but I never want to plateau,

A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. - Proverbs 31:10-12

5 Ways to Serve Your Family Joyfully

I am a bit of a perfectionist. Actually, I am a lot a bit of a perfectionist. I like to have a spotless house, all the time. And I don’t just mean clean, I mean everything is organized. I am not a “toss-it-in-the-other-room-to-deal-with-later” kind of gal. It all gets put away. But I came to a point recently where I found that many times I was getting frustrated with my husband when things weren’t getting done the way I thought they needed to be done. I was feeling like I wasn’t good enough when the house wasn’t looking good enough, and I was taking it out on him. The problem wasn’t that the house needed to be cleaned; it was that my heart needed to

Celebrating Your Marriage

We must understand that marriage is important. We must learn to value our unity as a husband and wife. We must NOT take our marriages for granted. When we do, we lose the importance of being one. We are creatures of habit. If we don’t take the time to form the healthy habit of celebrating, marriage becomes..ho-hum and almost forgotten. My husband and I recently celebrated 11 years of marriage. We’ve had our ups and downs, but an anniversary is a special day to focus on what we have endured for the last year. We made it another year. You are here. I am here. Let’s celebrate each other! Let’s celebrate victories over the hard stuff. Let us remember the fun times and yet still

How I Overcame Trauma And Crisis In My Life

If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself. (II Timothy 2:13 NKJV) This scripture speaks volumes about the Hope we have in God. Even when we don’t realize that hope is present, it is. Therefore, we can always live in hope. The other night, I was sitting with my husband talking about how much has changed in our lives this past year when suddenly I began to cry. I really didn’t know why I was crying because I wasn’t sad. I started to “think out loud”, as I like to call it… I began to realize why I was getting emotional. You see, I went through quite a crisis in my personal life this past year which only my husband, my pastors

How Do I Love My Husband When He Is Unbelieving?

Ironically I write this post from bed, pregnant with my 5th child. I have over hydrated myself, making myself anemic and now am on forced bed rest to heal my waterlogged body. Baby Zoey-Rose at 6 months gestation hasn’t been affected so far thanks be to God. My husband has been amazing this whole time and I’m grateful that I have him. Not so long ago our roles were reversed, and not for weeks as in my case, but in years. Two years to be exact. My husband was struggled for 2 years. Robert was 23 when he got sick with type 1 Diabetes. He worked for Southern California Gas Company and boy was he fit. He walked 6 to 10 miles a day! We had
