I love encouraging wives! God has given me a passion to reach out and share uplifting words to wives, pray for them, and remind them of God’s great love!
I spend time every day finding ways to intentionally encourage wives, whether they be family, friends, wives online through the UW Community, or even writing letters to celebrities… yes they need encouragement too! By taking the time to think about others and praying for them, my heart is filled with joy as well as honor, knowing that God would use me to share with someone His great love!
Will you join me?
This month I am incredibly excited to be sending letters of encouragement to the Duck Dynasty Wives!
Every month we choose a celebrity wife to encourage, so this month is a little bit different in that we are featuring all of the Duck Dynasty wives. If you would like to join us as we love on these beautiful women you have the option to write to just one, a few, or all of them! I will be writing a personal letter to each wife!
Duck Dynasty is a reality series on A&E which shows the lives of the Robertson family. The family lives in West Monroe, Louisiana and became wealthy from their family-operated business making duck calls, which started over 25 years ago by Phil Robertson in the family’s shed.
I have been watching this series for about a year now and I am so encouraged watching this family on television. Why? Because they are faithful Christians! And every episode ends with them gathered around the dinner table, thanking God in prayer, showing the value of family, and there is a wrap up of the content which aired with a positive encouraging message. The show is unique, there is no doubt about that. Let’s get to know the Duck Dynasty wives a little more!
Kay is married to Phil and has been for almost 50 years. Kay and Phil have four boys who also have a hand in the family business and are a part of the Duck Dynasty cast. The reality show kicked off its 4th season last Wednesday night with a wedding for this couple to renew their vows. Over 11 million viewers tuned in to celebrate.
During the ceremony Miss Kay said to her husband, “From the time I was 14 years old, I loved you. We’ve been through some good times, and some hard times. I loved you when we were poor, and you were not so nice. Now you’re really nice and kind. And all I can say about that is – I’m not going anywhere. I will love you forever… Our marriage is living proof that love and family can get you through anything.”
Alan and his wife Lisa have been married for 29 years and have two girls. Alan is a former pastor, joining the cast this year and he is eager to be able to reach more people with the message of Christ through the Duck Dynasty platform.
Jase and his wife Missy have been married for over 20 years and have three children.
Willie and his wife Korie have been also been married for over 20 years and have five children.
Jep and his wife Jessica have been married for almost 12 years and have four children.

Si (Phil’s brother) and his wife Christine have been happily married for over 40 years and have two children. Although Christine is not featured in the series, let us send her some love and support as well!

Here is my letter to Kay:
My name is Jennifer Smith, I am a Christian, a wife, and a mother. I have been watching your reality series for some time now and I just wanted to say thank you! Thank you for being bold enough to be an amazing example of God’s love to the world. That is also my passion and the reason I am motivated to continue encouraging wives through my blog UnveiledWife.com. Congratulations on celebrating almost 50 years of marriage! That is a huge testament to the value you both hold for family. You are a beautiful woman, your smile is lovely, and your legacy of love is evident! It is also evident that you are pouring into the lives of your sons’ wives, teaching them how to be a loving and respectful wife. Keep shining! God loves you so much and I am confident that He is proud of you, His precious daughter! I don’t know what kind of challenges you encounter, but I pray God will protect you and lead you through each one as they come. I hope the best for you and your husband as you continue to experience extraordinary. Please know that the wives in my community are praying for you and your family. Thank you again for who you are and the message you share through Duck Dynasty.

Thank you for Kay and her husband Phil. Thank you for joining them in marriage all those years ago, thank you for giving them the opportunity to renew their vows recently to celebrate their anniversary, and thank you for everything they experienced in between! You have given this couple an awesome opportunity to be a light for your kingdom and through it you are reaching millions! I pray that Kay would be strengthened every day. May she never experience the burden of stress because of the Duck Dynasty show. May you continue to help her as a wife as she loves and respects her husband. May you bless their marriage as well as their endeavor with the reality series. Holy Spirit please anoint Kay and use her to bless the other wives in her life. I pray Kay and Phil will grow even closer together as they lead their family humbly. May you forever be their Rock, their tower, their refuge in Jesus name AMEN!
