Letter To My Husband – To Mikey

Dear Mike,

I love you for the caring person that you are. You do everything that you can for everybody, even if you don’t have the time or energy to do it.

You are my best friend, and I am so blessed that God chose you to be my husband. I’m never afraid to tell you how I feel about something, even if I think it may upset you. Besides my family, you are the first friend in the world who I’ve ever thought wouldn’t leave me just because you disagree with me.

You have already fulfilled two of the three dreams I’ve ever had, being a wife and a mother; some day, I will get to be a grandma. We are so blessed to have such a wonderful little boy, and I can’t wait for our second unexpected bundle of joy in a few months. You three are my life.

Life seems to be crazy right now, but we are still going strong, despite our troubles. I can’t believe how fast time as gone. It doesn’t seem like it was all that long ago when you said to me, “I think you should forget Mr. Nebraska, and go out with me,” and let’s not forget your second marriage proposal to me over the phone; the first time you asked me to marry you, I said, “Really?” because I couldn’t believe you were serious. Being the romantic movie buff that I am, that was never how I imagined being proposed to, but you what? It was perfect. I didn’t need some extravagant marriage proposal. I didn’t need a big fancy engagement ring or wedding ring. I just needed you. I think we both saved each other.

I love your sense of humor, even though you sometimes wait to tell me you’re kidding once I have gotten upset. That’s just you though, and I wouldn’t want you to be any other way; our personalities are VERY compatible because we are both that way.
I love you, Mike. No matter what, I will always be right behind you. Just don’t forget about my request, you can’t leave this world unless you take me with you.

Love Your Wife
