Prayer: Romantic Marriages

Dear God,

Thank You for my marriage, thank You for my husband, and thank You for the love that we share. Thank You for teaching us how to love each other perfectly, and thank You for forgiving us when we fail. Thank You for sending Your Son as the example of true love, so that we may know how to love others. I pray that our marriage and every other marriage experiences the fullness of romance. I pray that husbands would be kind, caring, understanding, and gentle, as they initiate intimacy with their wife. I pray that You infuse them with creativity and inspire them to be the romantic lover that wives need. I pray that they would be attentive listeners. I pray that husbands would seek ways to bless their wives. I pray for wives, including myself, and ask that You would help us to understand our husband’s needs, especially for intimacy. I pray that we would have the courage to initiate intimacy. I pray that we would also be inspired to pursue a romantic relationship with our husbands and specifically bless them with things we know they would love. Give us patience to be our husband’s best friend and confidant.  Remind us daily to respond respectfully to our husbands and give us joyful attitudes to share with them. Show us how to bless our husbands! I pray that every husband and every wife gives without hesitation or expectation! I pray that our marriages would be fulfilled in every way in Jesus’ name Amen!
