Wednesday Rant – Cheap Shot By The Enemy

This was going to be a very busy week for me.  I had my to-do list in hand and ready to tackle it! My husband and I have been preparing for a mission trip with our church to Nicaragua, departing out of LAX this Friday, April 1st, so this week was crucial for us to get everything ready.  Then on Sunday night I was blindsided, pummeled by a high fever and congestion.  I feel like I haven’t slept in three days now, fighting chills, yet burning up from head to toe.  The pain and uncomfortableness has completely overtaken my ability to do anything but lay in bed with an ice cold washcloth over my face.  My husband has been so patient, compassionate and willing to do anything for me.  He even came home from work and did the dishes:)  I am so blessed to have a companion, a helpmate and a prayer warrior!  I realize this is probably just another cheap shot by the enemy, in an attempt to stop the work God has set before me.  I need to stay strong.  I may not get to finish my list this week, but we are still planning to head out of country in just a few days.  Please pray for healing, for energy and protection over my husband that he doesn’t catch this viral infection.  Please also pray for our team who will be gone for 9 days and the lives that will be touched in Nicaragua!  To read a little bit more about our trip click HERE:)

Thank You!
