Download A Free 5-Day Marriage Devotion!

My heart and passion is to encourage wives to fulfill their role in marriage, to understand the God-given purpose we have as wives, and to challenge us all to embrace intimacy in our relationship with God and our husbands. So I have created a 5-Day Devotion called Embrace True Intimacy With the release of my book The Unveiled Wife, I was inspired to take a few excerpts and create brief devotions out of them just for you! 3 Ways To Love One Another by Listening to One Another

I have only ever posted articles written by women for women. However, this is a guest article written by dear blogging friends, Patrick & Ruth Schwenk, who recently wrote together their new book For Better Or For Kids! Patrick is sharing wise words about marriage that are a reflection of the rich content found in their new marriage book. Please spend a moment to read this article with your husband and then chat about it afterward!  Patrick writes: I was busted recently. It wasn’t what I was caught with; it was what I was caught without – valuable information my wife (Ruth) had just shared with me. I started out strong. As we were talking, Ruth was giving me dates for when she was going

The Art Of Being A Wife: Interview With Barbara Rainey

I had the honor of interviewing Barbara Rainey, Co-Founder of Family Life and author of her new book Letters To My Daughters: The Art Of Being A Wife. I am still reading through Barbara’s new book and as soon as I finish I will do a full review on it. In the meantime, I wanted to bless you with an interview I did with her where she gives insight into her book and some wise marriage encouragement. If you don’t have time to watch the full interview I wrote out some quotes for you that I thought were very powerful! Barbara mentions that… You can’t have a relationship with someone you don’t know.” She continues by explaining that you get to know God by reading

31 Day Prayer Challenge For Marriage

Prayer is the way in which we communicate with God. I have experienced a huge positive impact in my marriage because of prayer. Whether my husband and I have faced good times or really difficult trials, prayer has brought us closer together to each other and closer to God. Just having intimate access to talk to God and knowing He desires to hear from us is pretty incredible. Then as we specifically pray for marriage, it aligns our hearts with His will. To go even further, when we pray with our spouse, they get to hear what we

Risen: Movie Review

The other day my husband mentioned a movie he wanted to see called Risen. I had not heard about it, so I did a quick search to watch the trailer. I share the trailer below for you to check out. After previewing the film, I knew I wanted to see it with my husband because I enjoy seeing faith-based films and anything related to Jesus up on the big screen. It inspires me to visually see what I know from the Bible and I think it is pretty neat that others get to have that kind of exposure to the Gospel. Something I have been wanting to share for a while pertaining to faith-based movies: I know some people like to argue whether a faith-based

This Is For Everyone Who Feels Like Giving Up

The feeling of giving up has a wide array of accompanying emotions. Depression, anger, confusion, frustration, sadness, bitterness, exhaustion… Have you been there? Are you in that place of giving up right now? We all face different types of circumstances that test us and challenge us. Being confronted with the thought of giving up as emotions swirl around your heart is never an easy thing to experience or navigate. Personally, I remember feeling like I didn’t know what else to do or where to go. I felt like giving up was the only option. Until a friend one day encouraged me to hang on. I didn’t know what that looked like or if I had the strength to, but just hearing someone else cheer me on
