Things I Love

My Favorite Marriage Moments

Have you ever been going on with your daily routine and something happens that trigger a flood of memories to rush your heart and mind? That happened to me and it felt so good. It put a huge smile on my face. It is usually a small gesture that my husband does or something he says that trigger this for me. A few of my favorite memories rushed my heart recently and so I thought I would write them down. Maybe when I am old and forgetful I will stumble back upon this and experience that rush once again. My husband and I have spent a ton of time together. We have worked together, served together, and, well, just living together has all provided ample opportunity

Visiting The Roloff Farm During Pumpkin Season | Vlog #18

Over the last 2 years we have had the privilege of getting to know Jeremy and Audrey Roloff. Jeremy and his family have one of the longest standing shows on TLC called Little People Big World. Jeremy grew up on his family farm just outside of Portland, Oregon. We have loved getting to know Jeremy and Audrey. They are passionate about encouraging marriages just like we are. They launched a site called Beating 50 Percent that has some awesome resources for couples. This fall we took the kids to visit the Roloff Farm during pumpkin season. Unfortunately, the weather was terrible. As we arrived we had heard the news that a tornado had ripped through a small town on the coast not too far from

30 Favorite Marriage Quotes & Bible Verses

Marriage quotes are awesome encouragements that remind us in a creative way the power of love and the significance of the marriage covenant. Marriage quotes are brief statements that inspire us to love well. When I first married my husband, social media was still just getting started. It was nowhere near the magnitude at which it is at now. The marriage encouragement I received came directly from people, from the pulpit, from movies, or from books. Babymoons have been on the rise the last few years. We didn’t feel the need to get away alone to celebrate our 3rd child joining us. Instead we desired to bring our kids and let it

In fact, we both desired to get married young and we both prayed for our future spouse long before we ever met. God heard our prayers and He answered! God told my young heart, I can’t trust you with someone else’s heart until you trust me with yours!” So, I spent time learning how to trust God, especially with my desire to get married. I faithfully prayed for my future husband. My husband went through a very similar experience of chasing after God more than chasing after his desire for marriage. He prayed for his future

A Fun & Educational Way To Keep The Family Entertained In The Car | Review

A few days before my family and I left on our vacation in August we received a set of audio stories from Family Audio Adventures. It was perfect timing because the first leg of our trip was three days of driving from Central Oregon to Southern California. We knew we would be spending a ton of time buckled up in the car and we hoped our kids wouldn’t be bored. Within the first hour of our trip, we slid the first cd into the disk player. We didn’t really know what to expect but looked forward to the adventure. Our son’s eyes lit up with excitement as he heard the story play and we were surprised by how action packed it was. Our son is 3
